February 26th was Paint the Town Purple day in Fallbrook, California to promote cancer awareness. According to an article in the Village News:
“According to the California Department of Public Health, more than 144,800 California residents will be diagnosed with cancer this year and more than 55,415 (150 a day) will die from the disease. In San Diego County alone, more than 12,295 people will be diagnosed and approximately 4,720 will die from cancer. “
According the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce website, the above poster asked the community to wear purple and that there was a Best Dressed Business Contest that day as well! I couldn’t find any pictures of the event to show you. If you find one, please leave the link in the comment section. Thanks and…
Have a GRAPE Day!
