Apparently purple stands out just a bit too much! According to this article, 26 y/o Richard James Anderson was arrested for burglary in Fresno after receiving a report that a home was burglarized and a purple bicycle with “identifying marks” was one of the items stolen.
Police scoured the neighborhood to find the suspect riding said purple bike. When he was questioned, police found that his story changed several times and even contradicted himself.
The moral of the story? The next time you steal a bicycle, you might want to take one, less conspicuously colored!
