I came across this gorgeous beauty combing the internet one day. It has got to be the most vibrantly colored and crystal clear picture of Purple Sprouting Broccoli I’ve ever seen.
It’s from an internet article, “Go Organic: Purple sprouting broccoli is so welcome,” that talks about how to grow it! The article said purple sprouting broccoli is the best tasting broccoli there is so I wondered how you cook it.
I found that this article called, “How to Keep Purple Sprouting Broccoli Purple,” had some grape advice! Apparently if you cook Purple Sprouting Broccoli the traditional way, the purple color disappears and you end up with ordinary looking broccoli. How sad!
This article gives you some tips for cooking, which not only makes it tasty, but allows it’s purple flower part to remain grape!
I’ve never seen Purple Sprouting Broccoli in the stores, but I’ll be on the lookout. Any of you ever seen it, cooked it? What say you? Is it a grape vegetable? Share your thoughts!
And have a Grape Day!
