Purple Stencil TShirt

Ok this week I have to report I made a purple boo boo!   I wanted to do a stencil craft this week but I couldn’t find my purple fabric paint so I decided to use purple puff paint instead.  BAD IDEA!

Puff paints are thicker and don’t cover as well so I had to go over it a number of times which pushed the puff paint underneath the stencil.  So my purple hearts looked more like little clouds.  I tried to fix it, but I am not happy with how the large purple hearts came out.  I ended up going over the outside purple hearts with the purple fabric paint when I found it.

Forgive me, but I wanted to get this out so I took the picture while the puff paint accents were still wet.   What do you think?

Here’s what you need to do it right:

White TShirt

Purple and Gold Fabric Paints

Small Paint Brush

Place to Put Your Paint Colors into Before Painting

How to Stencil:

Put cardboard in between the front and back of your tshirt so it doesn’t bleed through to the other side

Tape down your stencil

Squirt some fabric paint into your pallet

Hold down stencil areas as you come to paint them to avoid spreading paint under stencil

Allow to dry

Take accent puff paint and create hearts on the sleeves, collar and bottom of tshirt

Have a GRAPE Day!
