Jan 29th Purple Basketball Game for Cancer Research

Hudsonville High School and Unity Christian High School Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Teams are holding a Community for a Cure purple basketball event in Michigan in order to raise money for cancer research.  The event is listed on the Van Andel Institute’s website where you can find more information about the even and the institute itself.

The Van Andel Institute does research on various diseases, but Cancer research is their primary focus.  Their website states:

“The family-friendly event will feature:

• Purple T-shirts for sale
• Concessions
• Half-time entertainment

Everyone wear PURPLE! The color purple symbolizes cancer survivors. Every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research at Van Andel Institute. Donations will be accepted.”
